Grounding and Centering


I’m sure i don’t have to tell you we are living through some crazy times
here on this planet. Tragic events in the news are now common place and we are
all feeling its energetic effects. Irritability, tension, the inability to cope
with small disturbances are coming from all the emotional energy swirling about
us now. Luckily there is a few things you can do to help yourself…. all beginning with
grounding and centering.
Some people seem to have a stability or peace to them that keeps them from
getting out of control, or carried away. They seem more “grounded” and
“centered” within themselves. When you don’t share in their calm state of being
you are the one giving them annoyed glances on the check out line at the
supermarket or just stopping short of throwing your gum in their hair. By
learning a few simple mini meditations you too, can feel peace during chaotic
times. I always start by taking a few deep breaths. Pulling air in slowly and
deeply through your nose and exhaling it completely through your mouth.
Oxygenating is the first step in creating balance within yourself.

  Next comes grounding and this can be done in several ways but this is my
favorite and by far the easiest method. It involves a few minutes of simple
visualization that will bring you a sense of calmness and connection to the
earth itself (which when you’re feeling scattered is exactly what you need).

Start off by sitting or standing in a comfortable position (personally i
prefer sitting although i have done this laying down with my knees raised
and feet planted flat on the bed). The choice is yours and your body will tell
you how it is most at ease so don’t worry the position isn’t correct. As long as
your feet are flat to the ground its just fine!

Breathing deeply, close your eyes and visualize roots growing down from the

soles of your feet deep into the earth. If you are indoors, visualize them going

through the layers of floor and cement till they reach right down into the soil
underneath. See these roots going deeper and deeper, spreading out and
stabilizing you to the earth. They reach the center of the earth which is
swirling with white Mother Earth energy. Soothing and peaceful….your roots act
like straws bringing this warm, comforting energy up and up the roots…Back up
through the ground and into the soles of your feet. Then feel it coming slowly
up though your ankles, your calves, thighs, slowly up though the trunk of your
body, your chest, arms and neck…then filling your head all the way to the top.
Just when you think you cannot fit in one more ounce of earth energy in yourself , see this
beautiful white, loving energy come out the top of your head and flow down over
the outside of your body back into the earth. Revel in its comforting
You are now grounded!!!

Open your eyes…Look around you. How do you feel? Relaxed? Revitalized?
More attentive?

It is as simple as that!

You really will feel a difference and over time that difference will become
more and more noticeable.

Now, if you’d like to center yourself as well as ground (i always do) While
you are seated or in whatever position you chose.. Straighten out your spine and
visualize a beam of white light, like a rod coming straight down from the sky,
passing through the top of your head, through each chakra lined in you then out
the center of your body straight down into the earth. The beam sinks into the earth
connecting you to heaven and earth “centering” you between both. That is what
centering is!

You’re done!! You’ve successfully grounded and centered yourself for the
day !

It doesn’t take but a few minutes of your time and it really will help you
cope with all the crazy energy floating about.

Don’t worry if you find it hard to visualize these images right away, like
anything else, visualization takes practice but i promise you its worth learning.
Its free, its quick and its immensely helpful in day to day life. Grounding and
centering is a fantastic way to keep yourself in check and able to cope with
things that come your way. After a while you’ll notice more clarity of mind and
less stress in the body ..and that’s something everyone can use!

Change your vibration with “Angel Words”

Hi Everyone and thank you for reading todays new
Angel post!! Today i wanted to talk about raising your vibrations, what that
means and how to do it! Its easier than you think and makes a huge (and happy)
difference in our lives.

Vibrations are energy. Positive moods have higher
vibratory energy while negative moods have less. The vibration of words sends
energy to ourselves and out into the world. This finding actually applies to
thoughts as well as spoken words. You could demonstrate this for yourself. Think
about a negative experience, then observe what happens to your body: tense
muscles? sinking feeling in your stomach? furrowed eyebrows? teeth clenched?
Then picture a pleasant experience; you’ll relax and feel peaceful and content.
Now you get my point.
Everything we say
is like a seed that goes out into the universe and is planted…bringing you
exactly what you’ve asked for. Each and every word spoken has a vibration all
its own. That’s why it is so important for us to govern our own thoughts in a
manner that is always a positive seed to be sending out.

Creating positive change in your life is as simple
as changing your words. In Doreen Virture’s book Angel Words:
Visual Evidence of How Words Can Be Angels in Your Life,

Doreen was recording podcasts, she noticed that whenever she said the word
angel, the recording graphics were shaped like angel wings! So Doreen
and her son Grant studied the other words she said and realized that those with
a spiritual or loving basis had large graphs. They experimented with saying
negative words and found that their appearance was completely different: tight
and small.
Angel Words gives visual proof of the power and impact of
speaking in a loving way. You’ll come to understand why positive words express
the most energy and therefore have the most power to manifest your dreams.
You’ll also see how negative words have low energy and read how they can
actually draw negative experiences to you. So lets learn how we can use our words to attract positive things we desire.

Start by paying attention to your thoughts and
words. If you have an internal critic, which most of us do, negative and
judgmental thoughts worry and depress us constantly. You might start your change
from negative to positive words by reminding yourself daily, even posting smile
signs in your environment. The smiles will remind you to start translating
negativity into positive phrases. Whenever possible, turn negative predictions
(worries) gripes and complaints into positive affirmations or at least neutral
statements. Another technique is to cancel/delete a negative thought just like
you would reboot a computer. (Example, “I’m having a terrible day. Cancel. I’m
going to have a good afternoon.”)

Even sentences that you THINK are positive ones
can hold low vibrations… For example “I cant wait till i get that job
promotion” holds low energy. Remove words like “cant wait” and change it to “Im
excited to be getting that job promotion!” You’ve not only changed its frequency
but you’ve put in terms that what you desire is already yours! If you are
looking for a new relationship, don’t say things like “I can never find the
right person for me.” If you talk like this, this is exactly what you will get.
Change it to “Im excited to find that special someone for

You get what you say and
Even if you haven’t been too
successful in finding the right person previously, it doesn’t matter. Change
your words and you will change your life.

I often find myself sitting across from a client
and watching how negatively they speak about themselves or what they so desire
to come into their lives. I know the frustration of waiting for that which your
heart desires most but we can actually prevent or delay it from coming to us
merely by speaking so negatively about it to ourselves or

Its not always easy to change the way you speak or
think to raise positive energy for yourself and all around you, but
can fake it till you make it; just
start! As you work to make this change you can also adopt other positive
practices into your life; the more the better. Remember that the heart is
energetically thousands of times more powerful than the brain. As Charles
Dickens said, “A loving heart is the truest wisdom.

There are so many ways to raise your vibration
frequencies and live a more positive life..

Clean out your space of negative energy (like i
wrote about in the last Angel Blog) , stay away from negative people and energy
vampires (the ones who make you feel drained when you walk away from them). Even
the foods that you eat are made up of energy. By eating a large amount of meat,
you are actually taking in the negative feelings that the animals were feeling
before they were slaughtered. I am not saying to become a vegan or vegetarian
because that way of eating is not for everyone, but keep the feelings of the
animal in mind when you are choosing your meat products and try look for
certified humane brands.

Finally, take the time to pray or meditate. By being
able to quiet your mind, you will be better able to sort through your negative
thoughts and feelings that may be holding you down at a lower vibration. Plus,
having this time will help you to connect with your energy source, and this will
help you in your quest to essentially, live a happier life.
